SPONSORSHIP

KIT

Dear Community Partner,

My Brother's Keeper, Inc. would like to thank you for your continued supported and for considering sponsorship for this year's Jackson Black PRIDE & Jackson Black PRIDE Health Summit November 16-19, 2023.  This year we will be celebrating 17 years of educating, celebrating, and elevating the Black LGBT+ communities of Mississippi.

Seventeen years ago, a select few members of the Black LGBT+ community in Mississippi collaborated to create what is now known as

My Brother’s Keeper’s Jackson Black PRIDE. Despite the challenges that historically rest at the intersection of anti-Blackness, anti-LGBT+ sentiments, and infectious disease stigma in Mississippi, the Jackson Black PRIDE initiative aimed to address the barriers and warriors that impact Black LGBT+ communities.

Your contribution as a sponsor to this year's Jackson Black PRIDE & Jackson Black PRIDE Health Summit will help provide a week full of intriguing events to the community to include speakers, impactful workshops, culturally appropriate think-tanks designed to address social determinants of health including higher incidences of police interactions, toxic workplace discrimination, implicit healthcare bias, and significant economic difficulties that plague many Black LGBT+ households and communities with a special level of stigma and trauma activated among those living with HIV.

Along with the Jackson Black PRIDE Week that has served thousands of attendees for 17 years, Jackson Black Pride Week “lead up” community events like the JBP CommUNITY Pop Up and Pride in the Park, will create a safe space for Mississippians – no matter their ethnicity, gender identity, sexuality, age, religion, education level, social and/or social media status – to enjoy being together for the sake of communing in a safe space. With activities also happening daily during Jackson Black Pride Week (Nov. 16 – 19), your sponsorship will create multiple opportunities to foster ideas wellness, and equity in Mississippi. Your generous contribution can also create connections between you and thousands of Mississippians across the state via social media and other digital Jackson Black PRIDE 2023 promotions as we will begin advertising in April.

Please consider becoming a Sponsor and making a contribution to the Jackson Black PRIDE Week.

We thank you for assisting us in creating a healthier Mississippi by creating increased access to progressive ideas and practices that amplify health equity among Black people, LGBT+ communities, PLWH (People Living with HIV), and other marginalized and medically underserved communities in Mississippi.

Kind regards,

Dr.Krystal Logan,DPA
